PROOF’S partnership with BAM (Basic Athletic Measurement)

BAM is the global leader in athletic testing. BAM tests elite athletes in multiple sports worldwide. They are the official testing company of the NBA and the International Cricket Council (ICC) in America. PROOF uses BAM’s test result to create programming for all the major sports. PROOF’s partnership with BAM provides valuable data that tells you what areas you need to work on to achieve the ‘pro levels’ that scouts look for.  We will design a workout plan that will work on your weak areas, help prevent injuries, and bring up your test scores.

 

PROOF:  Train for your sport and your position

At Proof Athletic Training we understand how the body works over the course of an entire year:  off-season, pre-season, and in-season. This allows us to create workouts to tune your body towards the specific demands of your sport and position. If you’re going to dedicate hundreds of hours of sweat and tears to your sport, you deserve a program crafted by a world class strength coach and utilizes the power of athletic data (your BAM score). Reaching collegiate and then the pro ranks in a sport requires more than dedication, you are competing against tens of thousands of other players for a single roster spot and the slightest weakness or injury could derail those dreams.

How do pro players take their game to the next level?

The answer is simple: They train consistently and they have a long-term plan of athletic development, based on a year-long program. Elite athletes have full-time strength and conditioning coaches that test their athletes then design year-long programs. This means guiding the athlete to peak for key competitions, increasing training intensity in the right sequence, and, equally important, scheduling periods where recovery is stressed.

The Method

Proof was founded by Mike Brungardt, a member of the Strength Coach’s Hall of Fame, and the strength and conditioning coach for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs for 17 years.

The Spurs won 4 World Championships during Mike’s tenure. Using these championship methods of sports science, PROOF embraces cutting edge techniques, but is rooted in the applied methods of exercise science that have been tested and proven in the lab and in the field—in such places at the NBA.

With PROOF your training program follows the same principles and techniques used by elite level athletes who are paid millions of dollars to perform at the highest level.
